Product description
The Hohner Morino is one of the most legendary accordions from the traditional German brand Hohner and has stood for decades for the highest sound quality, precise mechanics, and uncompromising craftsmanship. This used instrument is in excellent cosmetic condition and has been fully serviced and retuned in our specialist workshop.
With 96 basses, 37 treble keys, and a comfortable key width of 19 mm, the Morino offers an ideal balance of compact design and professional versatility. The four-chord treble section with integrated piccolo and the cassotto produce a particularly warm, round, and yet powerful soundideal for classical repertoire, tango, jazz, and sophisticated light music. Thanks to the 11 treble registers and 3 bass registers, a wide tonal range is available, allowing for the finest nuances as well as powerful timbres. Despite its solid construction, the instrument impresses with very balanced playability and excellent response across the entire range.
About the history of the Hohner Morino series:
The Morino accordions were developed starting in the 1950s as top-of-the-line models in the Hohner lineup and were long regarded as the benchmark for professional accordionists worldwide. Named after the Italian accordion maker Giovanni Gola Morino, these instruments represent German engineering at the highest level. The Morino models manufactured in Germany, in particular, continue to enjoy an excellent reputation for their durability, their characteristic warm tone, and their outstanding mechanics.
Weighing approximately 11.3 kg, the Morino 96 Bass conveys the typical solidity of a true professional accordion. The elegant black finish underscores the classic and timeless character of this instrument.
This used Hohner Morino comes with the original Hohner case and a new strap, and is ready for immediate use on stage, in the studio, or for serious practice.
