The Hanika 1a-DTL Doubletop Masterclass is an exceptional concert guitar “Made in Germany”, combining premium tonewoods, masterful craftsmanship, and outstanding tonal performance. The back and sides are crafted from carefully selected first-grade grenadilla wood from Mozambique, paired with a finely selected cedar top that forms the tonal heart of the instrument.

The soundboard is built using an elaborate double-top lattice construction in a sandwich design. Its asymmetrically weighted, domed structure significantly improves the efficiency of vibration transfer, resulting in remarkable responsiveness and dynamic range. The guitar produces a wide palette of tonal colors, excellent note separation, and impressive projection.

The neck is made of cedro and internally reinforced several times with extremely dense and highly resonant snakewood, including reinforcement rods. This design ensures outstanding stability and optimal resonance transfer. A luxurious ziricote fingerboard completes the elegant construction of this masterclass instrument.

Visually, the guitar impresses with snakewood bindings on the top and back, an elegant Z5 ziricote rosette with sapwood accents, and a finely crafted headstock veneer made of rosewood, maple, and ziricote. A ziricote bridge, precise Scheller tuners, and a high-gloss HE finish on the body combined with a traditional shellac high-gloss finish on the top complete the refined appearance.

With a 65 cm scale length and a 52 mm nut width, the Hanika 1a-DTL offers excellent playability. The instrument comes protected in a premium BAM luxury case.
