2. Legal Basis for Processing
The processing of personal data requires a legal basis, which we would like to introduce below. Article 6 para. 1 letter a of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the legal basis for the processing of personal data for which we obtain the consent of the data subject. Article 6 para. 1 letter b GDPR is the legal basis for the processing of personal data required to fulfill a contract to which the data subject is a party. This includes processing operations necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. Article 6 para. 1 letter c GDPR is the legal basis regarding the processing of personal data that is required to fulfill a legal obligation to which our company is subject. If the processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, and if the interests, fundamental rights and fundamental freedoms of the data subject do not prevail over the first interest, then Article 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR serves as a legal basis for processing. The legitimate interest of our company is in the conduct of our business as well as in the analysis, optimization and maintenance of the security of our online service.
