Construction of Hohner Concerto Accordions
The smallest Hohner Concerto model is the Hohner Concerto I 48- a 48 bass accordion, that is perfect for learning the accordion. The treble of the instrument was built up II-choir. Following are the Hohner Concerto II and III models which are equipped with 72 basses and have 2 choirs (Concerto II) or 3 choirs (Concerto III). The bass section of the 72 bass models was equipped with 4 choirs. The Hohner Concerto III has 2 bass registers that can be changed in sound.
How the Hohner Concerto models differ
The popularity of the Hohner Concerto Accordions is due to their good quality and solid construction. The reedplate quality and the resulting assertive sound is remarkable.
The Hohner Concerto II and III were produced as Concerto S models, among others. The special feature of this model is the slightly narrower keyboard, with a key width of 17mm. This model has been described as a "ladies accordion". The Hohner Concerto N and T models were equipped with a keyboard with a key width of 19mm. The latest models in the Hohner Concerto series are the Hohner Concerto T models. They were manufactured until early 2000.
