To celebrate Lowden's 50th anniversary, Lowden Guitars is producing a special 50th Anniversary Series

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Northern Irish acoustic guitar manufacturer Lowden Guitars, 120 limited edition acoustic guitars were produced. These were made from fine woods, decorated with the Lowden 50th Anniversary logo on the headstock and of course signed by George Lowden.

Lowden O-50 No. 15 of 120

The sensational Lowden O-50 from the 50th Anniverary Series, limited to 120 instruments, was made in Northern Ireland by Lowden Guitars. The woods of this special series were selected by George Lowden. Each instrument has been signed by George Lowden.

The Lowden O-50 was fitted with a Sinker Redwood top and back/sides made from solid African Blackwood. The soundbox bevel made of Tasmanian Blackwood is not only extremely effective for playing comfort, it also rounds off the appearance of the top very nicely. The headstock is decorated with a 50th Anniversary logo. The founding date of Lowden Guitars was once again inlaid on the back of the headstock.

Lowden F-25 No. 11 of 120

The Lowden F-25 from the 50th Anniverary Series, limited to 120 instruments, was made in Northern Ireland by Lowden Guitars. The woods for this special series were selected by George Lowden. Each instrument has been signed by George Lowden.

The Lowden F-25 was equipped with a solid red cedar top, as known for the Lowden 25 series. The back and sides were made from solid Indian rosewood. The 5-piece mahogany/rosewood neck was fitted with an ebony fingerboard.
